Jeff Bridges will play two concerts in the Las Vegas area. He won an Oscar for his portryal as a down-and-out singer in the movie "Crazy Heart." (Fox Searchlight)
Hollywood’s Jeff Bridges, a musician before his acting career took off, will return to his roots with a pair of concerts this spring in suburban Las Vegas. Bridges will perform April 19 at Santa Fe Station and the following night at Red Rock Resort.
Bridges’ musical talents were showcased in 2010’s “Crazy Heart.” The veteran performer took home the lead-actor Oscar for his portrayal of Bad Blake, a down-on-his-luck country music singer.
Bridges’ self-titled album was released the following year. It’s considered a follow-up to the movie, because echoes of the film are clearly evident on the record. Several songwriters as well as producer T Bone Burnett collaborated on both projects.
The April 19 performance begins at 8 p.m. in the Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station in North Las Vegas. Tickets are $39, $52 and $65, plus tax and fees.
The April 20 concert in the Rocks Lounge at Red Rock Resort in Summerlin also gets underway at 8 p.m. Tickets are $45 and $65, plus tax and fees.
Tickets to both shows are on sale through Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000.
