About This Recipe

"Camping/canoeing recipe"

Ingredients

    • 2 cups white sugar
    • 2 cups margarine or 2 cups butter
    • 1/3 cup honey
    • 1/3 cup light corn syrup
    • 9 1/2 cups rolled oats
    • 1 cup sliced almonds or 1 cup other nutmeats
    • 1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Cream together first 4 ingredients until smooth.
  2. Add and incorporate the last 3 ingredients.
  3. Spread mixture onto a greased pan about ½ inch thick.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown (15 to 20 minutes).
